7. ANGELS and MORTALS
The game will be starting NEXT large group: February 5
There are two groups of people who will be paired up for the game and they are supposed to correspond with each other through letters. The angel, who is preferably an older year student, will know the identity of the mortal they are paired with but the mortal, preferably a 1st or 2nd year student, will not know the identity of their angel. Communication will take place through letters that are dropped off and picked up at the MCF office. Notification of mail will be through text or email. We hope that through this experience we can build MCF community, mentor younger students and show love in a fun way. The secondary goal of the game is for the mortal to guess the identity of
the angel. If you do include small gifts in the correspondances, keep them around a few dollars. The identities of the angels will be revealed at the end of the year.
If you are interested to sign up for the game, please email hansheng (at) mcgillcf (dot) com with your name, email, cell number, year, degree and whether you prefer to be an angel or a mortal.
7.Haiti
Please remember to keep our brothers and sisters in Haiti in your prayers. Pray that God would be working in us as individuals and a community of Christ followers, for compassion and a heart for people, creativity in responding to the needs of those who are in suffering and boldness in sharing His gospel and radical call to love.

2. ANGELS and MORTALS
Basically, there are two groups of people, the angels and the mortals. They will be paired up for the game and they are supposed to correspond with each other through letters.
The angel, who is preferbly an older year student, will know the identity of the mortal they are paired with but the mortal, preferbly a 1st or 2nd year student, will not know the identity of their angel.
The letters will be dropped off and picked up at a box outside the MCF office to keep the identity of the angel a secret. If you have a letter in the box, you will be informed by text or email.
The main goal of the game is to build community in MCF, to mentor our younger students and to show love for one another in a fun manner. The secondary goal of the game is for the mortal to guess the identity of the angel. If you do include small gifts in the correspondances, keep them around a few dollars.
There will be an event as part of our last large group in which the identities of the angels will be revealed.

4. Soccer Ministry
We want to share Jesus' love and gospel message to fellow McGillers and the sky's the limit as to how we go about this, right? Why not through soccer?! Yes, MCF will be starting our first ever soccer ministry!
The intramural indoor soccer season starts in January, but we'll have to decide on some things soon, incl. our team name, members (9/10 players max, plus others if people want to be involved but not by playing soccer), and to start praying and deciding what kind of team we want to be. So please, email joni@mcgillcf.com asap if you (or a soccer-&-Jesus-loving friend that comes to mind) want to join in this new soccer ministry! (note: the intramural season fee will cost between $10 & $20 per player)
5. 8 a.m. Prayer
Did you know? Decades ago, before MCF was called MCF, we were called 'League of the Morning Watch' as Christian students got together to wait on God and pray for one another and the campus each morning.
Well, like the good ol' days, 8a.m. morning prayer is moving on-campus! Starting Thursday (Nov. 19), we will be meeting in the McConnell (Engineering) Common Room from 8:00-8:25 every weekday. When you come in the entrance next to Milton Gates, take the stairs down one floor and you'll find the common room on your left. Contact joni@mcgillcf.com for more info or if you need help getting there. See you there, with a friend!
(prayer will continue until Dec. 3)
6. MCF Christmas Party
when: December 4
More details to come but save the date!! It is a great time to have some fun before exams start!
7. Samosa Sale

We would love some volunteers to come help us out with the tabling of the samosa sale on November 25! If you can come and stay for a half hour or an hour that would be great! Please reply to this email with your availabilities if you are able to help!

Who are we?
We are a group of interdenominational Christians on campus who have come together because of our shared faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. We believe that we are not just students who happen to be Christians at McGill, but rather that we are first Christians who happen to be students on campus. We strive to create a community that encourages dialogue from varying perspectives, while stregthening and supporting each other through our transformations, so that our mission as ambassadors for Christ may be fulfilled.
